Ne fakt per huazimin e historise se Noah-s nga cifutet ka dy versione. Para se gjithash me aq sa di une ska dyshim qe historia eshte e huazuar nga sumeret por dyshimi eshte nese behet fjale per Utnapishtim (njeri prej tyre eshte dhe Stitchin ) apo per Ziusudran apo Ziusudu, mbretin e famshem te Shuruppakut, njeri prej pese qyteteve legjendare sumere te cilat jane te famshme dhe qe njihen si djepi i civilizimit. Eridu, Sippar, Shuruppak, Nippur dhe Uruk jane perfshire dhe nga permbytja qe mund ti atribohet dhe permbytjes biblike. Kjo ngjarje i atribuohet mijevjecari te katert pra rreth 3800 p.e.s. dhe qe perputhet me historine 6 mije vjecare te Tokes sipas Bibles. Ndersa Gilgameshi si histori njihet dhe pranohet boterisht qe eshte historia me e vjeter e njohur sot per sot. Sipas kronologjise se Stitchin Gilgameshi ka te gjitha gjasat qe te jete baza e Testamentit te Vjeter (e kam fjalen per Noah) ndersa sipas arkeologjise konvencionale Ziusudra i ploteson me mire keto kushte si ne afat kohor ashtu dhe ne pershkrim. Kjo teori mbeshtetet shume ne tabelat qe jane gjetur relativisht jo shume kohe me pare. Po i jap ne origjinal (dmth ne anglisht) ku mungojne disa rrejshta dhe ngjarja fillon qe perpara permbytjes, shkeputet dhe shfaqet perseri gjate permbytjes dhe me pas kohe mbas saj.

The oldest version of the Flood is the Sumerian, of course, recorded on a fragment of a tablet discovered in ancient Nippur, midway between Kish and Shuruppak in north central Babylonia. It dates most probably before 2000 BC, and it is inscribed on both sides, with three columns to the side. The first column tells of a previous destruction of humankind and how both humans and animals were created.
The second column relates how a certain deity founded five cities, including Eridu, Sippar, and Shuruppak, and how he assigned a god to each and established the irrigation canals.
The third column introduces the Flood, which, according to the tablet, "made Ninhursag groan" for her people.
At the time of the Flood, Ziusuddu was king-priest. When he got the frightening news of the coming deluge, he built an idol of wood, representing the chief deity, and then worshipped it every day.
In the next column, Ziusuddu receives instruction to stand beside a wall where he will receive a divine communication concerning the impending disaster. When he stands where he was told, a god tells him that the gods are going to destroy the human race in a flood.
In column five, the Flood has begun and Ziusuddu is riding it out in a huge boat, when the badly damaged tablet once again becomes legible enough to translate:

The rain storms, might winds all of them, they sent
The floods came upon the...
When for seven days and seven nights
The Flood had raged over the Land
And the huge boat had been tossed on the great waters by the storm,
The Sun-god arose shedding light in Heaven and on Earth.
Ziussudu made an opening in the side of the great ship,

Before Sun-god he bowed his face to the ground.
The king slaughtered an ox;
Sheep he sacrificed in great numbers.

Qe mos e zgjas me shume. Ate qe tek sumeret e gjejme si Ziusudra, tek Babilonasit me Epiken e Gilgameshit e gjejme si Utnapishim. Ngjashmerite qe gjejme ne te treja, dmth bibel, Epiken e Gilgameshit dhe ne Ziusudren sumere mund te kene kete shpjegim:

1- babilonasit e huazuan historine nga cifutet (gje qe eshte e pamundur pasi eshte vertetuar se tabelat sumere jane me te vjetra se Libri i Gjenezes/Zanafilles)

2- cifutet e huazuan nga babilonasit (edhe kjo hipoteze ka problemet e saja pasi ndryshimet midis dy historive jane te rendesishme dhe qe shpesh eklipsojne ngjashmerite te tyre)

3- te dy e kane huazuar historine e tyre nga nje burim i perbashket (dhe ky eshte qendrimi me i fundit qe po ze vend me shume midis rradheve te arkeologeve) dhe nese eshte keshtu atehere ne menyre definitive nuk behet fjale per nje mit po legjende po per nje fakt historik. Pra permbytja ka ndodhur. E kam fjalen per permbytjen e madhe jo per permbytje lokale te Tigrit apo Eufratit qe kane ndodhur cdo 700-800 vjet.
