Hi Alberto
Yesterday I came across your paper concerning Malta / Atlantis. I was immediately interested because I have believed this for the past 5 years - not through Plato, but though my observations of Malta, where I lived until 2003. (I now work at the European Parliament in Brussels).
But as you say, Plato must be held as the main source, and your translation makes a very significant point. Another interesting point is the Etruscan aspect.
Your paper needs better presentation to make it more... - not just academic - but more credible. Not only in the choice of words, but also in the general presentation of the design, images, captioning... and also the presentation of the argument... the flow... these are all minor details that vindicate the greatness of a great idea. It has to flow in a logical and clear way, clearing all questions that may crop up, quoting what others say, and explaining why they are wrong, or right (There are interesting works by Grongnet, the 19th cent Maltese architect) and more recent others, like Savona-Ventura, A. Mifsud and Frances Galea.)
Hope you can take this constructive criticism. But I am only saying this because I am very interested in promulgating this idea.
I work on political campaigns and I also write - so I can help you with words and design - mainly by editing your paper (my graphic-designer Maltese friend would be happy to be a part of this project).... I can indicate which excerpts are extra, which ones need some detailed clarification, which aspects can be expanded and where more research is needed. (then there is the aspect of references and sources...)
You can give more detail into the Etruscan aspect. How does the Etruscan language relate to it historically? This ATLAS thing is exceptionally interesting. As are your translations. But it needs clearer explanations.
The paper needs a lot more research - the problem is time. But I am interested in this and I would try to fit it into my heavy schedule. Let me know where you stand on this... and whether you are ready to accept my advice and criticisms (which concern mainly the linguistic and presentational aspects, not the idea)
Thanks for your fine work.
