Interpol to keep World Cup free of match fixing

nterpol's working with authorities in Brazil to keep the FIFA World Cup free of match fixing.

Interpol Secretary-General Roger Noble says the potential for profit from such activity is huge, and his organisation is determined it's not going to happen at the event.

"I can assure you that right now while the World Cup is underway there are organised crime groups engaged in illegal betting, and with illegal betting there's a greater likelihood that there could be an influence on the outcome of the match or what happens on the pitch based on a bribe or some kind of corrupt act."
