Patjeter duhet ti mbaj mir, se vetem nje levizje e gabuar dhe Greqia nuk ratifikon at dokumentin per NATO, gjithashtu edhe kur te vie puna me hy ne Europ prap aty Greqia mund ta koqit punen. Kshtu qe der sa te forcohemi pak duhet ti mbajm mir se skemi zgjidhje tjeter.

po te drejtohem me nje pyetje te po kesaj natyre, po pa komplekse:

po eladha, a duhet ajo ta mbaje mire me Shqiperine, sepse kemi mbi nje gjysem milioni atje, dhe nuk jane pa peshe, kontribuojne, dhe kane ndikuar per mire ne ekonomine dhe demografine greke?

persa i perket ratifikimit te dokumentit per NATO dhe me vone BE, ata mund ta vonojne, por jo ta pengojne ...

eshte ne te miren e greqise te na shohin sa me pare ne NATO e BE ...

por krieministri sali kujdeset vetem per mbijetesen e vet, qe tani ka mare nota te theksuara ndraghetiste, vagabondazhi; po e pasuron argit e shkelzen qe ata te jene nder familjet me te pasura ne Shqiperi, dhe per pasoje, te kene peshe dhe rol ne politike - ndaj beri pazarin me godon, ate plakun e "urte" ... por me sa duket, ne vend qe te vene vetulla, do te nxjerrin syte ...

No New Dawn for Greek Nazis


Greece’s far-right parties had mixed fortunes in June’s elections to the European Parliament.

The openly nazi Golden Dawn organisation stood under the name of the “Patriotic Alliance”. The op-position to this nazi activity was limited. Three press releases from the Antinazi Initiative, inviting the government and all the other political parties to denounce the nazis, received no response from the media, the government, or the vast majority of the parties contesting the elections.

The Internal Affairs Minister did, however, call a meeting of the parties contesting the elections, including the nazis, to allocate the amount of time for televised election broadcasts. At the meeting, 2 of the 23 parties, the European Free Alliance-Rainbow and the communist OAKKE, complained about the nazis’ presence and later walked out in protest. The minister dismissed their protests, arguing that the Patriotic Alliance had met the legal requirements for obtaining television time.

The Patriotic Alliance’s broadcast was shown on various TV channels. The nazis “proudly” presented their “activities”, including their attempt to break up a conference of Rainbow, the party that represents the Macedonian minority in Greece.

This incident took place in Thessaloniki, on 30 May, just two weeks before the elections, when a mob, led by 150 nazis, launched a violent attack in an attempt to break through a police cordon and enter the building where the conference was held. This assault was a follow-up to a similar attack in December last year that resulted in the conference’s cancellation.

The 30 May attack failed because, this time, the police managed to control the mob. The nazis’ violence was encouraged by statements from the mainstream political establishment. Panagiotis Psomiadis, the prefect of Thessaloniki and a member of the ruling New Democracy party, stated before the attack that the conference organisers were “unwanted” in the city. The nazi violence again went unreported in the Greek media.

Official tolerance or collusion?

A shield of official tolerance has often protected Golden Dawn. A clear example of this is the fact that its deputy leader, Antonios Androutsopoulos, who is wanted for an attempted murder in 1998, is still at liberty.

This official collaboration with the nazis was exposed in the Ta Nea (The News) newspaper on 17 April. The newspaper revealed the existence of a secret police report highlighting the extent of the collusion between the nazis and elements within the police force who had conspired to prevent Androutsopoulos” arrest. Despite the gravity of this disclosure, there has been no official political reaction or investigation.

In the European elections, Golden Dawn received a poor result of only 10,628 votes (0.17%). But their unimpeded freedom to carry out street activity and distribute propaganda has made them stronger. The party has also successfully tapped into a populist groundswell of support within Greece for reactionary anti-Americanism, anti-Europeanism and antisemitism.

Long history of cooperation

The widespread acceptance of these ideas was illustrated by the results for Giorgos Karatzaferis’ right-wing extremist LAOS party, which expresses similar ideas but has not been labelled as a nazi party. LAOS received 252,429 votes (4.12%) and its leader won a seat in the European Parliament as a member of the Independent Democrats group.

Karatzaferis does not want to be called a far-right leader but has a long history of cooperation with the nazis. In 1998, as an opposition New Democracy (ND) member of parliament, he called on members of Golden Dawn to join forces with ND and promised them the secretariat of a ministry in a future government. When the Greek Prime Mimister and ND leader, Kostas Karamanlis, was asked by journalists to comment on this by one of his MPs, he merely answered that “on historical issues there are different approaches”.

In 2001, having formed his own party, Karatzaferis made a speech in parliament claiming that there was a Jewish conspiracy behind the September 11th terrorist attacks. A Greek Communist Party MP, Giorgos Hourmouziadis publicly supported these comments.

In 2002, Karatzaferis included four nazis in his election list for the prefecture elections. Protests by the Antinazi Initiative wrecked the cooperation between LAOS and the nazis but LAOS still received 14% of the vote.

In the 2004 European election, LAOS included the notorious national socialist, Konstantinos Plevris, on its candidates’ list. Plevris is founder of a party called The Fourth of August (the anniversary date of the Metaxas dictatorship established in 1936) and was a councillor in the 1967-74 military junta.

He has also written a book about Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels’ diary in which he claims that Hitler’s troops “admired the Greeks” and that it was the English forces sent to Greece that caused the German invasion in 1941. In another book Let’s talk about Jews, he denies the Holocaust and the existence of the Nazi gas chambers.

The main ingredients of LAOS’ propaganda are antisemitism, xenophobia, nationalism and ranting against globalisation, the “New World Order”, the “Europe of the capitalists” and the so-called “global domination of Zionism”. These distasteful ideas are disseminated in the party’s weekly newspaper A1 and by its TV channel Tele-Asty which transmits all over Greece.

Another far-right Greek party, Makis Voridis”s Hellenic Front (Elliniko Metopo) is openly supported by Jean-Marie Le Pen”s Front National (FN) in France. On 5 June, Carl Lang, the FN”s general secretary, addressed a gathering of Voridis’ party in Athens. The theme of the gathering was “No to Turkey in Europe”.

Voridis began his career in the youth organisation of the fascist party EPEN, which was a major supporter of the military junta. He hides his racism behind the argument that “illegal immigrants threaten to turn Greeks into a minority in their own country” and has the support of the weekly newspaper, Stoxos, which frequently makes racist and antisemitic remarks. His party scored a miserable 15,423 votes (0.25%).

The danger of the extreme-right in Greece does not lie in its numbers but in the fact that far-right ideas are shared by large numbers of the population. This support, combined with the nazi organizations’ legal status, can lead people to demonstrate a tolerance of nazi attacks.

This was amply demonstrated on the night of 4 July, when large crowds took to the streets to cheer the victory of the Greek team in the Euro 2004 football championship. Organized nazi groups mingled in the crowds, displaying the banners and symbols of the “Azure Army”, a group set up by Golden Dawn to gain influence amongst football fans.

The crowds also contained immigrants who cheered side by side with the Greeks but were then chased and attacked by the nazis. The violence was encouraged by some in the crowd who chanted the racist slogan “Albanian immigrant whatever you do, you will never become Greek”.

The police did nothing and claimed that it was impossible to make any moves against the nazis because of the size of the crowds. One officer went further and said that immigrants had no business being there and cheering.

Needless to say, the hounding and beating of immigrants in the centre of 2004 Olympics city Athens failed to make a single headline and was not condemned by any of the mainstream political parties.

Mjafton ta denosh at Bollanon qe ben thirrje anti Shqiptare dhe Greqia te akuzon per shkelje te te drejtave te minoritarve, dhe plus ti malltreton ndoshta edhe ti vras Shqiptaret qe gjenden ne Greqi.

Po mir, jetojn mbi gjysem milioni ne Greqi, dhe shteti Grek i malltreton ata sa her ju teket. E ke verejtur kur emigrantet Shqiptar kthehen pas pushimeve ne Greqi, dhe mu tamam kur vie koha ata te kthehen ne Greqi, atyre ne kufi iu prishen pajisjet kompjuterike dhe ata qendrojn aty per or te tera. Pastaj e mban mend kur e mbyten at tifozin Shqiptar ne Greqi vetem se skuadra Greke humbi nga Shqipria ?, dhe me thuaj ti qfar beri qeveria Shqiptare ne lidhje me kete ? ska bere asgje, se ska fuqi plako, muri me gjoks nuk shtyhet.

Pastaj leht eshte te flasim ne ketu ne forum, por po te ishim ne vend te Berishes aty do i kishim pare gjerat me ndryshe.
