The British call it "The Championships". This tradition rich sporting event is 135 years old. We call it Wimbledon and most people consider it the greatest tennis event of them all. Winning Wimbledon is the ultimate experience for any professional tennis player. Many experts and historians consider the 1980 Wimbledon final between Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe to be the most spectacular tennis match ever played. Personally I enjoy Wimbledon as much as I enjoy the Super Bowl.

Djokovic is seeded 1 for the men and Maria Sharapova is seeded 1 for the women. However, many experts think Raphel Nadal is the favorite because he's beaten Novak Djokovic 3 times in a row.
Realistically there four players that should decide this year's champion.
Andy Murray
Britain's best player is more than capable of winning Wimbledon. He has the serve, ground strokes and net play to win the tournament. His major obstacle appears to be himself with confidence issues along with psychological and emotional instability.
Novak Djokovic
He's on top of the world. At least he thinks he's on top of the world. Djokovic wants that second Wimbledon and he'll move heaven and earth to get it. No doubt he'll bring his Serbian contingent to cheer him on.
Roger Federer
It's been 2.5 years since Roger won a Major championship. 2.5 years! Is he too old? Is the capable of winning one more Wimbledon? If anybody can accomplish this feat Roger Federer is the man to show the world he's not done. Good luck to Federer
Raphael Nadal
He's back. Nadal marched through the French Open field losing only one set. Rafa has beaten Djokovic 3 times in a row. He is a champion and knows how to win on grass Nadal will be back on top if he wins the 2012 Wimbledon.
Maria Sharapova finally won the French Open on her worst surface, clay. If she can march through the French Open she should be the favorite to win Wimbledon. She's on a roll and full of confidence.
Venus Williams lost in the first round. I don't know if Kim Clijsters is playing this year and I have no information on Serena Williams's injury report.
