Dhe nuk gaboi.
Roy nuk kishte pasen enderr te Hoddle,as driblimin dhe intuiten e Barnes,as fluturimet e krahut te majte te Waddle,Roy kishte shpirtin luftarak,shkelte c'do kuadrat te fushes,merrte ne shpatulla ekipin ne castet e veshtira.
Futbolliste te tille ne ishullin e mbretereshes ishin te pakte.
Graham Souness ne vitet e lavdise se Liverpoolit,dhe njeriu te cilit i zuri vendin tek United,Brian Robson.

Si mesfushor me tipare shkaterruese nga vitet 1998-2001 nuk kishte kundeshtare.
Kujtoni gjysem finalet e Champios League me Juven ne Torino,me gol te tij u ngushtua rezultati,ate ndeshje ishte i mrekullueshem,mori karton te verdhe dhe nuk luajti ne finalen e Barcelones.
Ndonese me lotet neper sy,ndiqja ceremonine,ku lojtaret e tjere hapen rrugen kapitenit Keane te ngrinte kupen qofte edhe me kostum.

Akoma dhe lojtare qe nuk kishin ndonje simpati per te jashte fushes se lojes si Peter Schmeichel,thoshte se c'do ekip ka nevoje per nje lojtar si Roy Keane.
Roy ne keto vite fitoi shume,ndoshta me shume se vete ai,por edhe bota futbollistike mendonte.

Kapitulli Roy Keane u mbyll perfundimisht per Mancester United.Sesa do u mungoje ne kete epoke te re,pergjigjen do ta japi vetem koha.................

Une, do t'a mbaj mend jo vetem per dhjetera/qindra ndeshje por edhe per dy episode.

Keane, nuk ishte ne formacion kur ManUTD fitoi kupen e kampioneve (mori te verdhe me Juven, te ajo ndeshja ne gjysemfinale ne te cilen e beme cope "madamen"), dhe prandaj per pak (sa mire ) na iku ajo kupe.

Me kujtohet dhe ne sezonin 98-99 (ose mund te jete edhe 99-2000, nuk jami sigurte) ndeshja e pare e Premier me Arsenalin, ne Highbury, kur u kap per fyti me skropin Vieira. Albitri, si anglez prej verteti, nuk nxorri asnje nga te dy me te kuqe.. por, Keane shenoi golin e fitores -- dhe ne kemi ulerit nja 5 minuta

Cila është sëmundja e Mançesterit?

Edhe pse trajneri Aleks Ferguson do ta kishte të vështirë për ta pranuar, skuadra e tij nuk meritoi më shumë se një barazim në ndeshjen ndaj Vilarealit. Edhe pse Mançesteri duhej të merrte patjetër tri pikët në atë ndeshje, nuk arriti të tregojë se ishte shumë më mirë se kundërshtari spanjoll. Për më tepër, anglezët vazhduan serinë e tyre negative në Ligën e Kampioneve, ku në tetë ndeshjen e fundit, shtatë herë nuk kanë shënuar asnjë gol. Tashmë gjendja bëhet shumë e vështirë në kampin e "Djajve të kuq", pasi pozitat e tyre në grup janë vërtet kritike. Ndeshja e fundit ndaj Benfikës është shumë e rëndësishme, pasi asnjë rezultat tjetër përveç fitores nuk u siguron kualifikimin për në raundin tjetër. Duke parë që portugezët do të luajnë në fushën e tyre dhe kanë treguar një formë të mirë në këtë sezon, për Mançesterin do të jetë një sfidë shumë e vështirë.

Nëse në atë ndeshje do të arrihet një rezultat i padëshiruar, klubi do të pësojë një dëm financiar prej 15 milionë paundësh dhe do të jetë hera e parë pas dhjetë vitesh që Mançesteri nuk arrin të kalojë fazën me grupe të Ligës së Kampioneve. Për më tepër, do të vihet në dyshim edhe vendi i Aleks Fergusonit, pasi do të ishte viti i dytë radhazi që skuadra angleze zhgënjen në fitimin e trofeve të rëndësishëm. Për sa i përket ndeshjes ndaj Vilarealit, Fergusoni tha: "Ne ishim të pafatë në shanset që patëm në fillim të ndeshjes. Në përgjithësi mendoj se luajtëm mirë dhe se sulmet tona ishin vërtet të rrezikshme. Kishim shumë mundësi të fitonim, gjithsesi tashmë ndeshja ka përfunduar dhe na ngelet të mendojmë për ndeshjen e radhës."

Në fakt, Mançesteri nuk ishte i pafat, por thjesht nuk ishte i aftë të thyente mesfushën dhe mbrojtjen e kundërshtarit. Pol Skols, Alan Smith dhe Darren Fleçer për disa momente luajtën mirë, por në fakt nuk mjaftoi aspak që ata të ndërtonin sulme të rrezikshme për skuadrën e tyre. Gjithashtu, edhe me Rud van Nistëlroin, Uejn Runin apo Kristiano Ronaldon. Ata arritën të luanin mirë në disa momente, por bashkëpunimi i tyre nuk ishte i aftë të thyente mbrojtjen kundërshtare. "Djajtë e kuq" treguan shumë mangësi në aspektin e të qenit më konkretë në lojë. Ata mund ta kenë mbajtur më shumë topin, por në fakt nuk arritën të ishin të rrezikshëm. Kjo do të thotë se diçka nuk funksionon në lojën e tyre. Mos vallë ndihet mungesa e një organizatori të mirë apo duhet një sulmues që t'i bëjë vetë të gjitha?!

Vodafone firmosi një kontratë sponsorizuese katërvjeçare me "Djajtë e kuq" para një vit, por në fakt duket se ajo do të përfundojë para kohe. Pritet që kontrata të përfundojë që në fund të sezonit 2005-06.

E pashe ndeshjen me Villarealin jo me shume se 40 metra larg fushes...me Machesteri sulmoi shume por pa rezultat! Villareal nuk kishte asnje mundesi ti kerrcenonte humbjen Machesterit por thuaj ti nuk ishin te afte keta djelmoshat tane te shponin rrjeten. Shume raste organizuan po asgje...po ku shko Ronaldo dhe mi merr goditjen e denimit Rooney-t (Runit...sic i thu ti dmth)...aty ma ka heq petllen se nese kishte lojtar qe ka lujt qenshem aty, vec Rooney ishte...

Te them une ty se c'vura re ne ate ndeshje dhe po e spikas akoma me teper tek ato ekipe...ja pra, ekipet spanjolle kane adoptuar aq mire stimulimet saqe hollywoodi do kishte shans te gerrmonte per noi aktor te ri aty. Loje pisash, kap top e rrezou, hidhu ketej e hidhu anej, vono lojen etj etj...shkerdhele lojtare!

E keqja ne kete grup eshte se ...cdo ekip mund te kualifikohet, pamvaresisht nga rezultatet e ekipeve te tjera, pra kushdo fitofte ndeshjen e fundit...hyn ne 16-shte!

Fjala fundit...prape e pranoj qe Manchesteri eshte ne gjendje jo-te mire!

Benfica 2-1 Man Utd

Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League as they lost to Benfica in Lisbon's Stadium of Light.

Paul Scholes gave United the perfect start in their quest to reach the knockout stage with a close-range finish after only six minutes.

But Geovanni's diving header quickly put Benfica level and Beto fired in a second from 20 yards before half-time.

United defeat left them bottom of Group D and means Sir Alex Ferguson's side do not even qualify for the Uefa Cup.

Ferguson cut a disconsolate figure sitting back in his dug-out at the final whistle and now poised to face even more hard questions about his Old Trafford future.

United arrived in Lisbon hoping to deliver a performance to celebrate the memory of the late George Best, who rose to world fame in this legendary Lisbon arena.

Instead they delivered another miserable European show that betrayed their proud European heritage.

Ferguson signalled his intentions with an attacking line-up - using Cristiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs on the flanks and Wayne Rooney and Ruud van Nistelrooy up front.

And it was another attack-minded player, Scholes, who gave them a dream start after six minutes.

Giggs released Gary Neville down the right flank, and he delivered the perfect cross for Scholes to bundle a finish past Quim from six yards.

But United, instead of building on the lead, were suddenly careless in possession and conceded the initiative to Benfica.

And they paid the price after 16 minutes when Nelson's perfect cross set up Geovanni for a diving header that gave Edwin van der Sar no chance.

Ronaldo was having a miserable return to Portugal, where he was a target for constant taunts because of his links with Benfica's great rivals Sporting Lisbon.

And the youngster's frustration showed when he was booked for a petulant kick at Beto.

United's attacking threat was almost non-existent, but Scholes nearly lifted the spirits again with a long-range drive that was turned over the top by Quim.

Benfica, in contrast, were rampant and it was no surprise when they plunged United's hopes of staying in the competition into further doubt with a second goal after 34 minutes.

Alan Smith's defensive header fell to Beto, and the Brazilian flashed a fierce drive past Van der Sar with the help of a deflection off Scholes.

United's best move of the game almost produced the equaliser after 57 minutes, when Scholes and Van Nistelrooy linked and set up Ronaldo, but he pulled a tame finish across the face of goal.

Ferguson gambled with two substitutions in quick succession, replacing Giggs with Louis Saha and sending on Park Ji-Sung for Ronaldo.

And as United pressed forward, Benfica almost punished them on the counter attack as substitute Joao Pereira shot wastefully into the side-netting with only Van der Sar to beat.
