Gara e dyte rradhazi qe Rudi Tomjanovich nuk ulet ne stol te LA, per shkak te shqetesimeve ne stomak.
Flitet per nje doreheqje te Head Coach, per shkak te gjendjes se tij jo te mire shendetsore. Por asgje nuk eshte zyrtarizuar akoma. Ka qene po kjo arsyeja qe trajneri ka lene stolin e Houston Rockets ne 2003....kancer ne melci.
Megjithe mungesen ne stol te drejtuesit te tyre, dhe nje nisje jo te mire te 12minuteshit te pare, Lakers kane fituar nje ndeshje te rendesishme kunder Blazers.
Ne fillim demtimi i Divac (ndonese ne moshe jo te re, nje lojtar qe mund te ndohmoje me pervoje), pastaj edhe Kobe, dhe tani ne fund trajneri duke hequr dore...sikur spo i ecen sivjet ketyre. megjithese edhe sporti keshtu e ka....lart e poshte luhatet rezultati.

EL SEGUNDO, 2 Shkurt -- Rudy Tomjanovich dhe Los Angeles Lakers kane rene dakort qe Tomjanovich do heqe dore nga posti i trajnerit te ekipit. Ai do vazhdoje te qendroje me klubin si keshilltar.
Na vjen keq qe qendrimi i Rudy-t si trajner i Lakers-ave ishte i shkurter, ka thene pronari Dr. Jerry Buss. Ne respektojme shqetesimin e per shendetin e tij. Ndersa nuk do jete me trajneri yne, jam shume i keanqur qe do vazhdojme ta ruajme lidhjen tone dhe qe ai do vazhdoje te jape ndihmese e tij ne suksesin tone, ne nje tjeter menyre.
Asistent-trajneri i Lakers-ave Frank Hamblen, i cili ka qene ne rolin e trajnerit kryesor per Lakers ne 2 ndeshjet e fundit, do vazhdoje te sherbeje si i tille per ekipin.
Tomjanovich, i cili u emerua si trajneri i 16 ne historine e Los Angeles Lakers ne 10 Korrik 2004, grumbulloi nje seri 24-19 gjate drejtimit te stolit te ketij ekipi.
Para angazhimit te tij me Lakers, Tomjanovich ka kaluar 34 sezonet e fundit me Houston Rockets duke sherbyer si lojtar, trajner dhe se fundmi si keshilltar personal gjate sezonit 2003-04. Tomjanovich ka qene per 12 vjet me rradhe trajner i Rockets duke i udhehequr ata ne 2 tituj divizioni dhe 2 tituj NBA ne 1994 dhe 1995.
Ne 12 sezone si trajner kryesor i Rockets, Tomjanovich vendosi 503-397 (.559) rekord sezoni te rregullt dhe 51-39 (.567) rekord playoff-i. Krahas detyres se tij si trajner i Rockets, Tomjanovich gjithashtu ka sherbyer si trajner i kombetares USA ne 2 raste. Gjate Lojrave Olimpike 2000, Tomjanovich udhehoqi ekipin drejt medaljes se arte duke vene nje rekord pa humbje ne Sydney. Para Lojrave Olimpike, Tomjanovich sterviti nje grup jo-lojtaresh NBA drejt nje medalje bronxi ne Boterorin e Basketbollit 1988.
