E hapa kete teme me qellimin e te paturit nje audience me eksperte rreth Unix OS.
Ftoj te gjithe "mjeshtrat".

Si fillim kam nje problem me ndryshimin e fjalekalimit.

Ne departamentin tim perdoret NIS dhe futet ne account-et e tyre ne rrjet nepermjet ssh.

Kohet e fundit kur kam provuar te ndryshoj fjalekalimin marr kete gabim:

e1408624@inek45:~$ passwd
Changing password for e1408624
(current) UNIX password:
passwd: Authentication service cannot retrieve authentication info.

P.S: password-i qe shtyp eshte i sakte.

Përshëndetje josif.

Komanda e duhur në rastin tënd është: 'yppasswd'. Komanda 'passwd' nuk mund të përdoret për të ndryshuar fjalëkalimin në një rrjet NIS pasi ajo ndryshon vetëm fjalëkalimin në kompjuterin lokal. Për më tepër mund të këshillosh 'man yppasswd'.

Administratori yne thote:

"All Solaris machines in CEng Domain now use NIS+ which requires
secure authentication for updates. That means you cannot change your
password without being authenticated to secure RPC. To get system
authenticate to RPC, your login and RPC passwords should be the same.
If you get "Your password does not decrypt key for unix.23523@ceng....."
message your problem is exactly this one. So do the following:

1. login to system. run command "chkey -p"
2. As RPC password enter nisplus
3. As login password enter your current login password

This will correct your authentication. Then you can change your passwords
using 'passwd'. Note that yppasswd is for nis and it's obsolete. Forget
yppasswd!

Megjithate perseri ndodh si me poshte:

e1408624@inek54:~$ chkey -p
Updating nisplus publickey database.
Reencrypting key for 'unix.7066@ceng.metu.edu.tr'.
Please enter the Secure-RPC password for e1408624:
e1408624@inek54:~$ passwd
Changing password for e1408624
(current) UNIX password:
passwd: Authentication service cannot retrieve authentication info.

Mjafton të kishe specifikuar që në fillim që përdornit NIS+ dhe jo NIS

Procedura e saktë është:

Changing user passwd
      
  As root

    * # nispasswd   ;user has to update his key through chkey -p

  As user

    * $ nispasswd   ;update encrypted key
    * $chkey -p   ;(user NIS+ passwd and login passwd are the same.)
