Milan remain four points behind Juventus at the top of Serie A after a goalless draw at the Delle Alpi stadium. Coach Carlo Ancelotti was forced into a change just before kick-off when Paolo Maldini picked up a calf injury in the warm-up and Alessandro Costacurta stepped in to captain the side from the centre of defence.

Milan had the first chance of the game on four minutes when Andriy Shevchenko received a Kaka pass inside the area and whipped in a low cross which just evaded Hernan Crespo. Then Clarence Seedorf fired in a left-foot drive which deflected off Jonathan Zebina for a corner. On 17 minutes, Shevchenko hit a powerful low shot from the edge of the area which beat goalkeeper Gigi Buffon but came off the post and away from trouble. Milan continued to
look the more dangerous side, Kaka played in Shevchenko on the right side of the area and Lilian Thuram was forced into making a desperate last-ditch clearance for a corner. The Rossoneri were totally dominant in all areas of the pitch and on 30 minutes Crespo forced Buffon to turn a low shot round the post. Then Kaka motored into the area and set up Seedorf but Buffon held on to the rising drive. Dida was forced into action for the first time just before the break when the Brazilian got down at the near post to gather a Gianluigi Zambrotta shot and from the quick counter-attack Cafu powered in a cross-shot which Buffon parried away.

Ancelotti made no changes during the break but Juventus replaced Alessandro Del Piero with Marcelo Zalayeta. Little changed in terms of ball possession as the Rossoneri remained encamped in the Juve half. Giuseppe Pancaro came on for the injured Kakhaber Kaladze on 62 minutes. Milan won two free-kicks in quick succession but first Shevchenko and then Andrea Pirlo drove the ball into the wall. Juventus were dangerous on the break near the end and
Pancaro had to head away a Pavel Nedved cross and Paolo Cannavaro struck a shot over the bar from the resultant corner. However, it was Milan that almost broke the deadlock two minutes from time when Shevchenko released Pirlo on the left side of the area but the midfielder’s low shot went just wide of the far post, with Buffon beaten.

Meqe jemi ne nje periudhe kur ekipet pushojne, nuk do te thote se prap gjithckaje jane vene ne levizje mekanizmat e merkatos dimerore:

Jankulovski kuqezi prej qershorit?

Milani ka djegur konkurencen e Juves dhe merr Jankulovskin.
Marrveshja me Udinese-n, ceku do vije ne Milano, ne qershor.
Per sulmin, pervec konfermimit te Crespo-s, eshte Caracciolo: pyka mund te vije nga Brescia ne janar dhe te leshohet ne qershor me marrjen e Gilardino-s.
