Deception
Every imperceptible step
was received with disgust and disdain.
Unbearable were her sins,
yet her behavior deceived one extremely.
Sweet and innocent was her disguise,
Cruelty and deception were written in her eyes.
Unfaithful was she to her spouse,
The honorable man in the house.
A man with such high integrity,
Yet the fool, who offered her hospitality.
She was poor, ambitious and beautiful.
He was rich, intelligent and merciful.
She was an orphan and a skillful thief,
He was a soldier, known as the ”young chief”
Charming, and arrogant was he with ladies
Mysterious and seductive was she with the gents
…..In order to rob every penny they had.
The day they met,
they will never forget.
She was pick pocketing an old man,
As usual that was her plan.
They were the richest,
And the weakest,
The perfect victims;
The less fitted.
Never was she caught or seen,
Luck was always on her routine.
Yet this time she was not unseen,
the young chief amusingly saw what she did.
Thus decided to help out this kid
Who was running ceaselessly.
Suddenly he reached and grabbed her hood,
Seized her shoulders with suck a force
At that moment she felt a great remorse
Her heart bit fast,
and there she stood.
Unable to escape for good.
Suddenly an image came in her mind.
Her future self flashed in her eyes.
An old woman incarcerated for life.
Whose hair she had cut with a knife,
And her teethes had fallen apart.
Suddenly she felt a pain in her heart.
Just the thought made her shiver
And wished to drown in a river.
She turned pale and worried sick.
She had to do something, she shouldn’t be so weak.
So audaciously she punches him as hard as she could,
She aimed at his face,
yet he seemed unperturbed
“hold your horses little man,” he said,
with a sweet smile on his face.
He stares at her beautiful shaped face,
Wondering if she was not a man.
Purloining strangers in a man’s disguise,
Made her feel invisible in their eyes.
“You don’t seem like a lad,” he repeated once again.
She remained silent,
Adamantly not answering his inquiry.
She couldn’t possibly speak a word;
she could only pray to the lord
Hoping some help would come from above.
“Speak I say, don’t feel apprehended by me”
“Damn I should have practiced my man dialect speech,
” she thought, wishing she had known
that someday she would be caught.
“Don’t be afraid, I won’t give you in,
..but don’t temp to slap me... you hear!”
“It was a punch, just to make it clear!”
She yelled unexpectedly.
While regretting it shamelessly.
He laughed out loud and patted her head;
Amiably smiled and offered his hand.
“Come with me, you need food and new clothes,
..don’t be afraid I just want to help.”
And so to his house she went.
To be continued
