Who would have predicted this scoreline? This was a fabulous result in Munich, which overjoyed the country, and fans now wait with excitement to see what Erikkson's team will do next. Obviously hopes are high following this astounding victory.
This game couldn't have started worse though for England when the home side opened the scoring in the 6th minute. A cross from Ballack to Neuville, who headed on to Jancker to stroke the ball into the back of the net. England looked uneasy and seemed to be struggling to complete passes. Then Owen scored the equaliser on the thirteenth minute. Gerrard, fit at last, played the ball to Neville who headed the ball on to Barmby, who in turn headed it on to Owen, who had no difficulty in putting the ball in to an open goal.
England now seemed more settled and were unlucky not to take the lead following a lovely 50 yard ball from Beckham to Owen, but the Liverpool striker's shot went just wide of Kahn's goal.
With the first half drawing to a close, Germany threatened England's defence with Linke firing a volley just over Seaman's crossbar. However, in time added on, Steven Gerrard scored a sweet goal from 25 yards out for his first international tally. Another cross from the captain, Beckham, put Gerrard through. England went into the break a goal ahead of their opponents.
As they had ended one half, England started the second half on a high, and with a goal from Michael Owen. Emile Heskey laid on the ball for Owen to put the visitors two goals ahead.
Germany did have a lot of possession in the second half as they tried to salvage something from this match, but failed to capitalise on their chances, and were punished further by Owen's hat-trick on 65 minutes. Again, Gerrard provided the assist with Owen blasting the ball past Kahn and into the top right hand corner.
Emile Heskey made it 5-1 on 72 minutes as England put on the pressure and no doubt ground down Germany's spirit. Scholes this time played the ball to Heskey who put another goal past the German goalkeeper.
Despite the huge deficit and time running out, Deisler had not given up and tested Seaman, but the ball just went over the crossbar and the game fizzled out with England fans eagerly awaiting the final whistle.
An unbelievable night in Germany saw a result which no-one could have dreamed. Three goals from five shots from Owen put England well on the way to a famous victory and one that will stay with fans and players for a long time.

Si tifoz i Hollandes nuk mund te rrija pa marre pjese ne kete teme. Van Basteni deri tani e ka treguar veten qe eshte nje trajner shume i zoti. Plot futbollist te rinj dhe aktivizohen ata qe luajne rregullisht ne klubet e tyre. E vetmja gje qe s'me pelqen eshte sistemi i Hollandes me nje sulmues te mirefillte. Jam i mendimit qe Van Nistelrooy me Makaayn mund te luajne shume shume mire bashke. Edhe pse perpara Makaay kur luante bashke me Van Nistelrooyn ishte mesfushor krahu (pra nuk benin thuajse asgje sebashku) te dy si pyka mund te shpartallojne ēfaredo lloj mbrojteje.
Per nje fare Kolombi tifozi te Gjermanise qe s'ka me ēfare te meret ne forumet e Deutsch-ave edhe vjen e ben gerr gerr ketu kot, duhet te kete parasysh qe edhe Makaay qe eshte shume larg Van Bastenit ne vetem 2-3 sezone me Bayernin ia kalovi edhe Müllerit si goleshenues. Statistikat flasin vete. Ne 74 ishte e shume me thjeshte te shenoje gol se aktualisht. Por ja qe Makaay i ben golat me sy mbyllur edhe pse ka dy tre mbrojtesa qe e markojne.
Kualifikimi erdhi, pavaresisht se kjo Hollande eshte shume larg viteve 98-2000, prape jam i bindur qe do arrijne rezultate shume te mira ne boteror.
