From love bitterness's become sweet,
from love copper becomes gold,
from love the dregs become pure,
from love the pains become medicine,
from love the dead become alive,
from love the king is made a slave.

Larguar.
We are as the flute, and the music in us is from thee;
we are as the mountain and the echo in us is from thee.
We are as pieces of chess engaged in victory and defeat:
our victory and defeat is from thee, O thou whose qualities are comely!
Who are we, O Thou soul of our souls,
that we should remain in being beside thee?
We and our existences are really non-existence;
thou art the absolute Being which manifests the perishable.
We all are lions, but lions on a banner:
because of the wind they are rushing onward from moment to moment.
Their onward rush is visible, and the wind is unseen:
may that which is unseen not fail from us!
Our wind whereby we are moved and our being are of thy gift;
our whole existence is from thy bringing into being.

ÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆ
Rumi
- Jalāl al-Din Rumi
D 1393
I was dead , came back to life
I wept, began to laugh
Love's force came over me
Fortune smiled on me forever
My eye has seen its fill
my spirit feels no fear
I have a lion's gall
I'm luminous as Venus !
You are not mad,he said
You are not fit for this home
I went mad, was bound by chains
You are not drunk, he said
You don't belong among us , go
I went and got drunk, stuffed with joy
You are not slain, he said
You are not burried in joy
Before his vivifying face I fell down, dead
You are too clever by half,he said
drunk with doubt and fantasy
I got deceived , stunned, cut off form all
You glow like a candle , he said
the focus of our common adoration
I'am not together
I'am no candle
I'am dispersed like wisps of smoke
Your'e a shykh and guide , he said
Go ahead and led the way
I'am no shaykh
am not ahead
I am slave to your command
You have wings and feathers ,he said
I need not give you means of flight
In yearning for his wing and feathers
I am clipped and plucked
New-found fortune told me :
Do not go away , do not take offense
for I am coming towards you
out of grace and kindness
Old love said to me :
Do not leave my side
Alright, I won't , I said
I've become grounded,abiding
You are the source of the rays of the sun
I am the shade beneath the willow tree
The radiant spirit touched and left my heart
opend it , my heart, It spun a fresh silk,
my heart, made me enemy to these rags
In bliss the soul's form boasted on at dawn:
I was slave and bondsmen
I've become king and lord!
Paper I touch to write you cries sweet thanks
for it feels your endless sugar in me.
Base earth gives thanks for heaven's bowl inverted
that light rains through its turning apertures
Heaven's wheel thanks angels ,king,dominion-
through His gifts and grace I'm brughtness, bounty!
God's gnostic gives his thanks for eminence :
" a star above the seven spheres, I shine"
I was Venus , I am the moon
I become celestial wheel
with countless levels
I was Joseph, now I engender Joseph
You've made me, brightest moon!
Gaze into me and in yourslef
for the traces of your smile
have turned me to a field of laughing blossoms
Like a chess game
Be in motion
silent but expressive
For in castling with the world King
how regal and auspicius
I have become!

Rumi

Fihe mā fih
These words are for the person who needs words in order to comprehend.
There is no need for words with the one who can comprehend without words.
After all, the heavens and the earths are a discourse for the one who comprehends it ,
born as they are form the utterance " Be and it is . "
What need han a man who can hear a soft voice for shouting and yelling ?

ÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆ
Rumi
- Jalāl al-Din Rumi
That thieving Heart-ravisher gave me a kiss and went!
What would have happend if instead of one He had given me six or seven ?
Every lip He kisses bears its marks :
It splits and craks from His lips' sweetness.
Another mark is that mad desire for the lip
of the Water of Life makes Love stir up a thousand fires and
furnaces every instant.
Still another mark is that the body , like the heart,
runs after that kiss with haste and speed.
It becomes slender and delicate like the Friend's
lips-how marvellous!
Slenders from the fire of a boundless Beloved!
(D 419)
I asked for one kiss, and Thou gavest me six!
Whose student wert you , that Thou art such a master?!
What a fine foundation Thou art for goodness
and generosity!
Oh, Thou bestowest a thousand freedoms upon the world !
(R 1692)

ÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆ
- *Jewels of Remembrance*
All this dying is not the death of the physical form:
this body is only an instrument for the spirit.
There is many a martyred soul that has died to self in this world,
though it goes about like the living.
The animal self has died, though the body, which is its sword, survives:
the sword is still in the hand of that eager warrior.
The sword is the same sword; the person is not the same person,
but this appearance of identity bewilders you.

ÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆ
- *Look at Love...*
Look at Love...
how it tangles
with the one fallen in love
look at spirit
how it fuses with earth
giving it new life
why are you so busy
with this or that or good or bad
pay attention to how things blend
why talk about all
the known and the unknown
see how unknown merges into the known
why think separately
of this life and the next
when one is born from the last
look at your heart and tongue
one feels but deaf and dumb
the other speaks in words and signs
look at water and fire
earth and wind
enemies and friends all at once
the wolf and the lamb
the lion and the deer
far away yet together
look at the unity of this
spring and winter
manifested in the equinox
you too must mingle my friends
since the earth and the sky
are mingled just for you and me
be like sugarcane
sweet yet silent
don't get mixed up with bitter words
my beloved grows
right out of my own heart
how much more union can there be

ÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆ
Rumi
Where there is pain , cures will come ;
where there is poverty, wealth will follow.
Where there are questions , answers will be given;
where there are ships , water will flow.
Spend less time seeking water and aquire thirst!
Then water will gush form above and below.

ÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆÆ
The individuated intellect
denies love , though it feings intimicay.
Knowing and clever , yet it is not naught.
An angel not as naught is Ahirman.
It can act as aid in our words and deeds
But when it comes to being , it is naught
For it would not willingly be as naught.
