As all of you know too well, ever since that terrifying day in June 1999
when we first stepped foot in Kosovo, we could only dare to dream that
the remarkable stories Beni, Tina, Linda, Ylber, Rrusta, Kaltrina and
Driton shared with us would somehow reach a wide audience. We're not
quite there yet, but a festival like Tribeca is one step closer.
Moreover, given the current situation in Iraq, 'A Normal Life' and its
personal stories of seven young Kosovars searching to define themselves
in the unfamiliar world of freedom, could not be more pertinent.
Needless to say, there will be a party following Thursday's screening -
at a swank new spot that opens on May 5th! K-space. More details to
follow.
