    "Keeping Up Appearances" British sitcom

I'm an American. I like TV shows like "justified, "The Sopranos", "Seinfeld" and "Everybody Loves Raymond".

If you had told me a year ago I would be a fan of a British sitcom about a group of English people over 50 years old with issues of class differences and British snobbery I would have thought you were out of your minds.

A couple of months ago there was nothing on cable. It was 10:00 PM Central Standard time. I turned on PBS and watched the beginning of "Keeping Up Appearances" Normally I hate British comedy. I would rather get shot in the buttocks that sit through an episode of "Absolutely Fabulous". I don't like English television. I don't even like the Redcoats themselves. (The British)

I can hardly believe it myself. I was strangely captivated by the eccentric English characters on this program. I watched it at 10:00 PM the next night.. I was hooked. I genuinely thought the humor was clever, unorthodox and subtly funny. Now I watch it every chance I get.

So I now live in a world where I laugh at Andy Griffith, Seinfeld, Raymond, and Hyacinth Bucket.

    Amazing.

Unė jam njė amerikan. Mė pėlqen shfaqje televizive si "justifikuar, i" The Sopranos "," Seinfeld "dhe" Everybody Loves Raymond ".

Nėse ju kishte thėnė njė vit mė parė unė do tė jetė njė tifoz i njė britanik ulem-com pėr njė grup tė njerėzve anglisht mbi 50 vjeē me ēėshtjet e dallimeve klasore dhe snobizmi britanik unė do tė kishte menduar ju keni qenė nga mendjet tuaja.

Njė ēift i muaj mė parė nuk kishte asgjė nė kabllo. Ajo ishte 10:00 Central Standard kohė. I kthyer nė PBS dhe shikuar fillimin e "Mbajtja e deri paraqitjet" Normalisht unė urrej komedi britanik. Unė mė parė do tė ketė shtėnė nė mollaqe qė ulen me njė episod tė "Absolutisht Fabulous". Mua nuk mė pėlqen televizion angleze. Unė as nuk donte tė Redcoats veten. (British)

Unė vėshtirė se mund tė besoj atė veten. Unė u mahnitur cuditerisht nga personazhet ēuditshėm anglisht nė kėtė program. Unė pashė atė nė 10:00 PM natėn tjetėr .. Unė kam qenė i tėri. Unė sinqerisht menduar humor ishte i zgjuar, joortodoks dhe Subtly funny. Tani unė shikuar atė ēdo shans qė unė tė marrė.

Kėshtu qė unė tani jetojmė nė njė botė ku unė qesh me Andy Griffith, Seinfeld, Raymond, dhe Hyacinth Bucket.

Well hell Sonya, you're an American. What do you know about sophisticated English comedy?

Seriously, there is a legion of American comedians including the casts of "Saturday Night Live" and "SCTV" heavily influenced by the Monty Python comedy group.

Also Woody Allen said "A Hard Day's Night" was one of the most brilliant comedic movies he ever watched.

Its not uncommon to have an english friend in America . That's how I was introduced to the show. I like english humor since it's simple, the simplicity makes the funny moments stand out more. I also watched "Chef Ramsay Kitchen Nightmares" and found it entertaining.

Haven't heard about "A Hard Day's Night" though....
