The word was she was to be a part of the program to honor Dolly Parton tonight on the Grammys but she will not be present.

Whtiney Houston was a unique talent with an extraordinary voice but she is possibly the latest victim of a long line of substance abuse victims in the music industry.

The names that come to mind are Elvis, Hank Williams, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix. Jim Morrison, Kurt Coban, and Amy Winehouse. There have been many more in the music and entertainment business.
