Fierake,
Fillimisht uroj qe te kesh marre nje laptop te ri dhe po ashtu me karakteristikat e fundit ne lidhje me chipin, RAM-in, madhesine e hard diskut etc.
Fshesa e korentit qe thua ti ekziston ne cdo laptop, dhe vetem melodia dhe shpeshtesia mund te ndryshoje nga njeri te tjetri laptop. Fshesa e korentit eshte nje ventilator i vockel qe sherben per te mbajtur temperaturen e Chipit ne vlera normale. Chipi kerkon qe te kete gjithnje temperatura konstante normale qe te kryeje te gjitha punet qe kerkon perdoruesi. Punimi i ventilatorit (apo fsheses elektronike me korent) varet nga performanca e vete chipit si edhe nga temperatura e jashtme e ambjentit ku eshte laptopi.
Nese laptopi yt punon normalisht, pra me nje shpejtesi normale, atehere mos u shqeteso shume per zhurmen.
Me poshte ke disa pika per mirembajtjen e nje laptopi, por eshte ne gjuhen angleze. Keto pika jane shlruar para disa vitesh, disa prej tyre nuk jane te vlefshme per tani, por te pakten mund te lexosh per baterine, chipin apo dicka tjeter.

Everything you ever wanted to know about laptops but didn't know
who to ask!
If you want to learn about your laptop the best thing you can do is to read the manufacturers manual. If, like most people, you dont have the time to do that, these notes may be useful to you.
1 Does a laptop work in the same way as a desktop computer?
Yes, the technology is basically the same but it is smaller and lighter. Thats what makes laptops more expensive than non-portable or desktop machines. Laptops can usually run from a battery as well as mains power.
2 Aaaarrgghh!! Whats wrong with this keyboard?
In their effort to shrink large desktop computers to the size of a notebook, computer designers did some nasty things to the keyboard. Luckily the normal typewriter keys (letters and numbers) will be in the same location. But, most of the other keys will be smaller and will appear in different places.
Almost every laptop brand except Toshiba putsnext to on the left side of the keyboard and puts beneath it. This arrangement may be different from your desktop keyboard, causing a lot of aggravation. Also keep an eye out for backslash <\>. It can show up just about anywhere on the keyboard!
To save space, laptop keyboards often combine keys which are usually found separately on a desktop keyboard. The special function keyand any keys which have alternate uses when used with the key will be marked with the same colour or format for easy recognition. For example, you may need to hold down the key while pressing the up arrow to move the screen up a page rather than having a key.
Beware of the number lock keyon a laptop keyboard. If you think you have typed Mice like to play under the floorboards and what appears on the screen is 05ce 352e t6 -3ay 4nder the f366rb6ards, it is not a computer virus, and it is not something wrong with the computer. You will have pressed which makes part of the keyboard act like the number pad on a desktops keyboard. Press again to get the keyboard back to normal.
3 What about laptop batteries?
Reading a computer manual is not very interesting, but you should read the section on batteries if at all possible, as the guidelines for best use vary for different models of laptops.
Charging batteries can cause a lot of confusion. So, lets look at it this way ...
If the laptop is connected to the electricity/mains ... and the laptop is switched off . Then electric power is used to Charge the battery
and the laptop is switched on... Then electric power is used to run the computer
(This is not strictly true for some laptops which use a trickle charge system and therefore recharge the battery slowly while the laptop is switched on and running from the electricity/mains).
3.1 Look after your battery!
Reasons to look after your battery:
1. They are expensive.
2. They are difficult to get hold of in Africa (you'll probably have to order one from the UK!).
3. They are easy to look after.
4. They are easily damaged!
5. I would advise Oxfam not to let you use a laptop worth over a thousand pounds if you can't look after it.
Most laptops use Nickel Cadmium batteries (NiCad for short) which are not very clever. Like any rechargeable battery if you repeatedly recharge one before it has completely run out of power it will start to lose capacity. This is because it remembers that it was recharged when it was half run-down. So, next time it runs down to the half-way point again, it may stop working, thinking it is empty and in need of recharging. The effect is that instead of running for 3 hours on battery power you'll be able to run for 2 hours, then 1 hour, then half and hour, then 15 minutes and then not at all.
Never plug a laptop in to the mains electricity just because you can.
Always fully drain or empty the batteries before recharging them. This may not always be practical, but do try to fully drain the batteries (and let the laptop sit for an hour or so) at least once a week.
When you first start using a laptop don't plug it in. Let the battery run down and then plug it in. You'll get plenty of warning that the battery is about to die - time enough to save your work. When you've finished working on the laptop - leave it plugged in until it is fully charged. Then the next time you need to use it you'll know that it has plenty of power in the battery.
3.1 Some common battery queries
3.1.1 How much does a laptop battery cost?
Batteries for Toshiba laptops cost about £ 100, so they are worth taking care of.
3.1.2 Why does my battery act as if its empty just after its been recharged?
Because it hasn't been looked after. Order a new one and read "Look after your battery" above.
3.1.3 How do I know how much charge is left in the battery?
On most Toshiba laptops if you press theand keys together a small box will pop up at the bottom of your screen (to clear this box from your screen press the same keys again). On this box is an indicator which tells you how much charge is left in your battery. See your manual for more details. Non-Toshiba laptops may have other systems - refer to your manual.
3.1.4 How long does it take to charge the laptop battery?
For new model laptops it takes 1-2 hours and usually 3 hours for older models.
3.1.5 Can I use my laptop on electric power only if the battery is not working?
In general, yes. Consult the manual if in doubt, or you could always try removing the battery and seeing if your laptop will still work.
3.1.6 Can I run my laptop from a Car/Landrover battery?
Yes, you can do it for the newer models of laptop if you buy a special adapter. There are 2 kinds of adapter available:
1. An adapter which is supplied by the laptop makers for a specific laptop. These cost about £50 but can only be used for that laptop.
2. An adapter which can be used for all types of compatible equipment (e.g. laptop, printer, radio, kettle).
These are better value even if they do cost more.
4 Why cant I read the screen properly?
Laptop screens are often harder to read than desktop computer screens because they use different technology in order to make the laptop weigh less. However, all screens can be adjusted and there will usually be two knobs or buttons on the laptop for adjusting the screen:
Brightness (the knob next to the little picture of the sun)
Contrast (the knob next to the circle with a slash through the middle).
To adjust the screen to perfection, turn the brightness all the way up and adjust the contrast until the display looks good and then turn the brightness down until the border around the edges disappears. Keeping the screen turned up too bright is bad for your eyes and it wears out the screen more quickly.
If you have adjusted the brightness and contrast, but your screen is still difficult to read, some software will let you change the colour of your display. On a black and white monitor this may be changing from writing in light grey on a dark grey background to writing in dark grey on a light background.
Also try positioning the screen away from direct sources of light. Any bright room lighting makes them harder to see. Because the screen must generate its own light, battery life is limited to a matter of hours.
5 Wheres the cursor gone?
If you find that you are losing your cursor all the time, then you can slow it down a bit & turn on Trails. This is done using the Mouse Control Panel.
6 How do external keyboards, mice and screens work?
With most laptops you can attach a full size keyboard (costing about £50) and a full size screen or monitor (costing about £150). This may be useful:
If you work in an environment where power is unreliable. When the power goes your laptop will automatically switch to using its own battery and screen. You can continue to run the laptop from its battery until power returns. This is cheaper and easier than using a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) with a desktop.
If you travel and want the portability of a laptop but you don't have the budget to buy a laptop and a desktop. When you travel you can leave the keyboard and screen behind in the office. When you are in the office it is useful to have a full size screen and keyboard - you are less likely to damage your eyes or your fingers.
7 How do I feed and care for my laptop?
Most of the cautions regarding desktop computers apply to laptops as well, but here are a few extra ways to keep your laptop happy and smiling.
Laptops prefer to travel in aeroplane cabins with you instead of in the hold with your luggage, where they are subject to changes in air pressure, temperature, baggage handlers and thieves! This is also true for some portable printer cartridges (but put them in a plastic bag - printer ink is hard to get off clothes if it does start leaking in transit).
Most x-ray machines are safe for laptops, although it is best to keep any important files on diskettes. You will probably be allowed to carry the disks through without being x-rayed.
Also, keep diskettes in a separate bag from your laptop so that your tour report will be safe even if the laptop is stolen!
Keep drinks away from your laptops keyboard, as it is harder to replace a laptops keyboard than a desktops.
Keep your laptop at room temperature. Dont keep it in the boot of your car, on the back seat or on the dashboard. All of these areas are subject to extreme temperatures, both in the afternoon and overnight. If your laptop freezes, the screen probably wont work. When it warms back up to room temperature however, it should go back to normal. If your laptop melts, it will probably make a good toy for children.
Just as with a desktop computer, dont spray glass cleaner directly on the screen. Instead, spray it on a soft cloth and then wipe the cloth across the screen to remove any dust, fingerprints and beach beer.
Laptops are very easy to steal, so please be careful! Why not try marking your laptop with your own or the offices name and address. If you leave it somewhere you may be lucky - someone might actually return it to you! Alternatively, it could make it easier for you to identify your laptop when someone tries to sell it back to you in the local market.
7.1 The Chip
Intel makes different chips for desktops and for laptop computers. The laptop version is designed for more efficient heat dispersal in a smaller area, so beware an assembled no-namer notebook that carries a fast desktop chip at half the price of a regular notebook with the same speed chip. The heat build-up will, at best, slow down the performance of the chip. Intel manufactures Pentium MMX chips in its mobile range, starting with the entry level chip, the 133MHz, and running through 150MHz, 166MHz, and 200MHz to the 233MHz. The Intel Pentium II mobile chip offers one great benefit: the chip is manufactured in cartridge format, which means it is upgradable by merely unclipping it and clipping in the new one.
