22 year old Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland is on the brink of becoming the next sports Superstar. He currently has a 8 shot lead at the US Open being played in Washington, DC. This kind of hype and sports talk has not been heard since the early days of Tiger Woods. His father said when Rory was only 2 years old he watched him pick up a golf club and hit the ball 40 yds (120 feet) . It seems as Rory was born to play golf. He hits the ball as far as Woods but is much more accurate with his drives staying in the fairway. According to golf experts his golf swing is flawless. Even his putting has improved 100% in the last 12 months. This year McIlroy led the Masters, the greatest tournament in golf, for 3 days but suddenly became a 21 year old on the last day by letting the pressure get to him causing him an embarrassing loss.

According to his family and fellow golf professionals Rory' emulates Roger Federer by his friendliness, willingness to accommodate the media and lack of ego.

Today I don't think he'll choke again. I predict he will play well enough the last day to win his first Major Tournament setting him on a course to be the next great player in golf.

Perhaps a star is born today.

If Obama plays golf like he bowls he won't be on ESPN any time soon. I've heard he plays golf like Al Czervik from "Caddyshack"
