Thanked God - was crushed under the altar
Günther Link, 45, wanted to thank God for having saved his life.
He went to church and embraced the altar.

The 45-year-old Austrian Günther Link became terrified when he got stuck in the elevator.
- He was a deeply religious man. He became afraid and prayed to God for help, "said police spokesman Roman Hahslinger, according to the British Telegraph.
It was not long before the error was corrected on the elevator and Link placed.

On Sunday he was found in Weinhaus Church in Vienna. Church visitors found his lifeless body in the 200 kilograms heavy altar, which crumbled down.
This week police said that they found Günther Links fingerprints on the stone pillar at the altar and that he has touched it before the altar collapsed down, says Austrian newspapers.
- He seems to have embraced the stone pillar that held up the altar. It fell upon him and he died instantly, "says Roman Hahslingen the Telegraph.
Police continued investigations will show if there was something wrong with the stone pillar.
