A Friendly Neighbourhood Bar With Added Flair.
Although St. Clair Ave. W. may not be as rip-roaring as its parallel neighbour College St., there are still a few buried treasures in a neighbourhood with lots of future potential. While Zemra is still a baby in the bar industry (only seven months old), it's already built up a solid reputation amongst the locals. Whether you're stopping in for a quick drink, or out for the night, you'll find a friendly face and excellent service. This intimate, loungy bar and restaurant has a simple, but warm decor. They offer a quaint menu of Middle-Eastern cuisine, along with a first-rate list of martinis and other specialty cocktails.
Thursday night is their most popular night, as Errol Fisher performs live Jazz, Blues and Motown. If you're looking to spice up your life mid-week, head to Zemra on Tuesday nights for salsa lessons and the best in Latin beats.
