Nejse interesante kjo druid dru, e kam lexuar dhe me heret kete variant. Ne etymology online nje website qe une e vizitoj, ky eshte pershkrimi etimologjik i fjales druid.
Druid
1509, from O.Fr. druide, from L. Druidae (pl.), from Gaulish Druides, from O.Celt. *derwijes, representing O.Celt. derwos "true" and *dru- "tree" (especially oak) + *wid- "to know" (cf. vision). Hence, literally, perhaps, "they who know the oak." O.E., too, had the same word for "tree" and "truth" (treow). The Eng. form comes via L., not immediately from Celtic. The O.Ir. form was drui (dat. and acc. druid; pl. druad); Mod.Ir. and Gael. draoi, gen. druadh "magician, sorcerer." Not to be confused with United Ancient Order of Druids, secret benefit society founded in London 1781.
Shkurtesat:
O.Fr. Old French, the French language as written and spoken c. 900-1400. More than 90 percent of it was from Vulgar Latin, with a smattering of Celtic and Germanic, plus some M.L. learned terms.
L. Classical Latin, the Italic language of ancient Rome until about 4c.
O.E. Old English, the English language as written and spoken c.450-c.1100.
M.L. Medieval Latin, Latin as written and spoken c.700-c.1500.
O.Ir. Old Irish, the Irish language as written and spoken from earliest times to 11c.
Gael. Gaelic, Celtic language of Highland Scotland.
gen. Genitive, the case of the complement, typically expressing "possession" or "origin."
Jo qe po dyshoj se keltet kane lidhje me shkiet, mirepo thjesht mu duk interesante.
