Parched thirst, dry heaves and a quiet acquiescence
to the lack of liquid thoughts
I’ve escaped the true nature of flow
lamenting my decisions
and never achieving the calm my pores
achingly scream to swallow…

I toasted the death of plain purpose
and got lost in the quagmire of self-assessment
with lips parted, gaping for a breath of nonsense
the logic of my peers leaves me with the desire to
torment my nightmares with complicity
