Albania selects Sagem Sécurité for secure ID documents

Paris, September 24, 2008

Sagem Sécurité (SAFRAN Group) announced today that it has won an international call for tenders from the Albanian Ministry of the Interior to set up a production and distribution concession for electronic passports and identification cards.

Sagem Sécurité will supply a complete secure ID document production system, based on its latest-generation Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS). The expertise of Sagem Orga and SDU Identification, Sagem Sécurité‘s subsidiaries, will guarantee the reliable and highly secured issuance of ID documents. Citizens of the Republic of Albania will have an identification solution approved by all countries, the European Union and international institutions.

“This contract is an outstanding reference for Sagem Sécurité, and opens up new prospects within the scope of current reforms in Albania,” said Jean-Paul Jainsky, Chairman and CEO of Sagem Sécurité. “It’s an example of Sagem Sécurité cooperation with Sagem Orga and SDU Identification.”

Albania thus joins the other forward-looking countries that are pioneering the use of e-documents for identification purposes. keto zhvillimet e fundit me kartat e identitetit, manipulimet e mundshme qe po nxjerrin koken dita dites tregon fare mire se nuk ka koncesion ne bote qe te largoje dyshimet ne lidhje me praktikat korruptive ose anti demokratike te nje qeverisjeje. nuk duhet te harrojme se se pari koncesionin ia jep nje shoqerie tregtare ne radhe te pare, e cila ka si qellim te gjeneroje fitim, pavaresisht metodave qe perdor, perfshi dhe dhenien e rryshfeteve. se dyti, menaxhimi i kartave eshte ne doren e shtetit ne fund te fundit, pasi listat e gjendjes civile i ka shteti dhe jo sagem. dhe ketu mua me lindin dyshimet ne lidhje me koncesionet ne keto sektore te rendesishem. shpresoj se pari qe karta qe bera te mos me kete vajtur dem dhe se dyti qe sasia e kartave falso qe qarkullojne te mos ndikojne ne rezultat dhe te mos kete si pasoje riberjen e tyre. pasi ne nje rast te tille, do te na duhet edhe 20 vjet per tu futur ne europe, kush e di pas vendeve te kaukazit te larget...

Me kete rast do kemi zgjedhje jo te rregullta, dhe do na largohet prape Europa e gjith bashkesia nderkomtare dhe hyrja ne BE si perhere ne kalendat greke.

Duke qene se kjo eshte nje iniciative e re, patjeter qe do kete gjera qe nuk do te shkojne sic duhet fillimisht. E megjithate, crregullsi ka ne cdo lloj ambienti. Edhe ne amerik nuk u quajten votat e atyre qe ishin overseas kur u zhvilluan zgjedhjet.

Fakti qe PD e merr nje iniciative te tille, per te krijuar karta identiteti dhe pashaporta biometrike, eshte nje arritje ne vetvete. Une i uroj suksese.
