In this time of transition in Serbia, the United States needs to maintain a strong alliance with the pro-democratic forces, Emanuel said. We should take an international lead in supporting Serbia as they look to stabilize their young government.
In April 2003, the House passed Emanuels resolution (H. Res. 149) honoring the life of slain Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, who was tragically assassinated outside his office in Belgrade on March 12, 2003. In July 2004, Emanuel met with Serbias recently elected President, Boris Tadic, during his visit to Washington, D.C.
Our nations share a mutual admiration for democracy, which is never a guarantee or foregone conclusion, Emanuel said on the House floor. The Serbian people are our fellow countrymen and allies because they embrace the value of democracy and freedom.

E kam thene dhe me pare mendimin tim ne lidhje me kete ceshtje. Lobi shqiptar nuk eshte i pafuqishem dhe po ta shtrija dhe pak llogjiken tuaj te te ashtuquajturave" lobeve te fuqishem" do i vija te dy lobet ne kandar e do i gjykoja nga rezultati qe paten per te pakten dy ngjarje te medha te koheve te fundit. Bombardimi i Beogradit + pavaresia e Kosoves = 2 me 0 per lobin shqiptar.
Keto historite me lobe greke e serbe jane mentalitet i se shkuares qe cojne uje ne mullirin e serbeve dhe grekeve, dora vete. Kjo teori sherben vetem per ti mbushur mendjen popullit shqiptar se eshte i pafuqishem per te influencuar e investuar ne te ardhmen e tij.
Serbet e greket kane te drejten e tyre per te lobuar. Po ashtu dhe shqiptaret. Prandaj po tju dhimbset kaq shume ceshtja shqiptare, mendoni per menyra konkrete per te rritur influencen shqiptare ne bote, tamam sic bejne ata cifutet, lobet e te cileve i perflisni kaq shume, dhe mos harxhoni kohen kot me ankesa pa buke.
Nga ana tjeter, deri tani duke u bazuar ne njerezit me te cilet shoqerohet Obama, na keni sjelle fakte se Obama eshte shume i zoti sepse ka perkrahje te fuqishme; eshte shume i pazoti se eshte vetem kukull; eshte ekstremist pro-islamik; eshte jo-paqesor; eshte aq pacifist saqe nuk do nderhynte ushtarakisht po te ishte nevoja; eshte pro-palestinez dhe anti-izraelit; eshte pro-izraelit; eshte pro-serb. Edhe sa dite do ju duhen te bini dakort se nga cili krah do ja mbani? Po ashtu, ne baze te llogjikes tuaj, a nuk i bie te jete dhe pro-shqiptar po te merret parasysh se ka per zevendes pro-shqiptarin Jo Biden?
