Mbase keni degjuar per Martin Lings, mbase eshte hera e pare qe ja degjoni emrin. Sidoqofte mendova se nuk do ishte keq nese do kishte nje teme me vete per te dhe e hapa.

Do keni mundesi te njiheni me jeten dhe veprat e nje njeriu punetor dhe shume te rrespektuar qe dje eshte ndare nga kjo jete.

Kush ishte Martin Lings?
Eshte lindur ne Angli ne vitin 1909. Ka studiuar Letersi Angleze ne Universitetin e Oksfordit. Rreth moshes 25 vjeçare filloi te studionte edhe fete e tjera. Pas besimit protestan dhe ateizmit, ne vitin 1938, pranoi fene Islame. Ne vitin 1939 shkoi ne Egjipt dhe per 12 vjet dha leksione- ne veçanti ne lidhje me Shekspirin- ne Universitetin e Kajros. Me 1948 u kthye perseri ne Angli. Me pas mori diplomen per gjuhen Arabe nga Universiteti i Londres. Pas vitit 1955 punoi ne Muzeun Britanik ku u morr me doreshkrimet ne gjuhen arabe. Kishte kohe qe perballej me semundje te ndryshme dhe dje nderroi jete ne nje fshat te vogel ku banonte prej disa vitesh.
